In sporting terms, they permanently finished ahead of their biggest rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, and at the latest when they moved to Emirates Stadium for the 2006/07 season, they seemed to have finally overtaken their rivals. However, the Spurs have now reached the level of the Gunners, and not just in terms of sport. With the new stadium, they also drew level with their rivals in this respect – or even overtook them? With the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the club moved into a top-class stadium in 2019 that can certainly compete with the best venues in the world. Arsenal has been playing in just such a top stadium for almost 17 years. They moved into Emirates Stadium in 2006, far ahead of their national rivals. At first glance, however, the stadiums are more similar than the two rivals would probably admit: The biggest similarity is the architect: both stadiums were designed by Populous.
