With the Accor Arena, a true multi-talent is located in Paris-Bercy directly near the Seine. Almost everything is possible here – the multifunctional arena has been the venue for a number of World and European championships. The building is located at the northern end of the “Parc de Bercy” directly on the right bank of the river. The 14-hectare park was built between 1993 and 1997 in Bercy, a district in eastern Paris that was once one of the largest wine markets in the world. After the neighborhood had become increasingly run-down, the decision was made at the beginning of the 1980s to undertake a fundamental transformation. Today, the centerpiece is the new Parc de Bercy, a garden ensemble consisting of three sections. Wine, however, still plays a role today: In reminiscence of the past, grape varieties were planted there. On par with the elite The Accor Arena, originally Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy (POPB) or simply Bercy, was built between 1981 and 1984 for the equivalent of a good All-rounder near the Seine With the Accor Arena in the Bercy district of Paris, those responsible are operating a true multi-talent.
