Over the course of the past twenty years, the name HK AUDIO has become synonymous in Europe with live sound reinforcement systems of the highest quality. Made in Germany, these systems are the product of a lifelong passion and pursuit of a vision – the aspiration to deliver perfect sound.

The company manufactures systems for a variety of applications in state-of-the-art production facilities in St. Wendel. The customer and dealer network now extends to more than 50 countries. The HK AUDIO® team consists of many specialists.

State-of-the-art computer-controlled production lines with precision CNC milling and metal-processing machines, fully-automatic enameling systems, and robots that carry out a wide range of production tasks are all par for the course with us. Not only does this guarantee an absolutely consistent high level of quality, it also assures a clean and healthy work environment. Unfortunately, not everyone takes environmental protection as seriously as they should; we decided long ago to set a good example. With pollutant-free wood, waterbased enamels and a stringent recycling and waste avoidance strategy, we carry our share of the responsibility for the state of our environment.

The made-in-Germany VORTIS 2 series is a line of trapezoidal high-performance speakers designed specifically for sophisticated install applications. VORTIS 2 is particularly well-suited for applications requiring standards-compliant (voice) alarming as well as high-quality music and speech reinforcement. With this in mind, all models have been certified according to EN 54-24:2008. The VORTIS 2 line delivers high sound pressure levels, ensuring that the required speech intelligibility values can be reached even in environments with high background noise levels.

This series of speakers has exactly what it takes to meets the requirements of such integrated applications — a wide selection of models, remarkably neutral response and variable coverage patterns. A very wide range of accessories is available for installing VORTIS 2 speakers on-site, including rotatable tilting U-brackets, anchor points with quick-release pins and plates for clustering multiple speakers.

For precise acoustic planning, simulation data in the GLL-format is available for EASE and EASE Focus 3 is available for every single and cluster variant. Select models come with a high-quality 100-volt transformer built in. Optionally, all VORTIS 2 models are available in an IP 55 variant (protected against dust and water jet).

With rotatable horns, four NL4 Speakon ports with Pin Assignment switches, two different monitor angles, many rigging and mounting options, and much more, this highly practical feature set is extensive enough to satisfy the demands of diverse applications. The ready-to-go tuning is another no-muss, no-fuss timesaving feature: CONTOUR X speakers deliver professional quality right out of the box, even without a controller.

CONTOUR X was designed from the bottom up to be an integrative part of the new HK AUDIO rental portfolio. That means the power amp racks, software and C-Sub series subwoofers are all a perfect match and seamless fit for both CONTOUR X and the COSMO line arrays. This saves you money, training time and storage space.
Speech reinforcement, on-stage monitoring, club FOH, front-fills—CONTOUR X can do most of everything and all of it well. Practically every event benefits from having CONTOUR X on hand.
