Comfortable Stadium visits with infrared heaters

The GoGaS Goch GmbH & Co. KG presented its new and sustainable infrared heater for stadiums and sports facilities. The 2021 series should be able to heat stands, playing fields and stadium roofs flexibly. The company has, by one’s own account, equipped over 25 stadiums worldwide. The MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA in Düsseldorf, the Donbass Arena in Donetsk and the Norwegian Viking Stadium in Stavanger as well as the World Championship Stadium 2010 in Johannesburg are among these sport facilities.

GoGaS made the following experience during their work: “Spectators today expect a pleasant and comfortable environment in addition to the sporting events.“ An essential factor here is the feel-good temperature in the stands, as well as in the outdoor catering area, according to the company. With GoGaS infrared systems, the heat should come directly to the stadium guests in a “sustainable and environmentally friendly way“.

Extremely short heating times are supposed to ensure maximum energy efficiency. The company states: “The optimal heating system for grandstands and stadiums is radiant heating with gas infrared radiant heaters. The high proportion of radiant heat creates a very high level of thermal comfort even at low temperatures.”

Even at sub-zero temperatures, the guests, as well as players and players supposedly feel a pleasant climate. Comparable to light, the heat should be available immediately after switching on.

The patented tiltable heaters from GoGaS make it possible to direct the heat directly to the area where it is needed, according to the company. If needed, the bleachers, the playing field or the roof is heated. “This technology avoids snow damage to roofs in winter when snow loads are high, as well as costly dangerous snow clearing operations”, GoGaS elaborates. GoGaS stadium heaters are equipped with a bus-compatible control unit. The control technology, in combination with the adjustable reflectors, ensures by the company’s own account flexible adaptation to the area of application and a maximum radiation factor of 82 percent. “Together with the stadium operators, GoGaS develops an individual control concept that optimally and sustainably operates the heating system”, the company emphasizes.

According to GoGas the systems increase the comfortability in stadiums. Guests should enjoy the atmosphere and excitement at comfortable temperatures. The company states: “They feel more comfortable, like to linger and thus increase revenues from catering and merchandising. And all this with demonstrably low operating costs.” The GoGaS heating system is supposedly simple to install, easy to maintain and equipped for efficient use in stadiums. Installation should be just as easy in new buildings as retrofitting. (STADIAWORLD, 11.02.2021)
