Moonich, supplier of energy-saving seat heating solutions for stadiums, welcomes the decision of the National Football League (NFL) to host two games in Germany in 2023. As things stand, the heated benches for the players and coaches, which were used at the first German Game in November 2022 in Munich, will be used again at the following games.
Twelve of these heated benches for NFL players and coaches were supplied by Moonich and Sit & Heat for the first German Game in November 2022.

"We have received very good feedback on our benches," says Lars Keussen, Managing Director of Moonich GmbH. The twelve heated benches with a total of 108 seats were custom-made products that the Bavarian company built together with its Dutch cooperation partner Sit & Heat especially for the football teams.
The heated benches, which are mandatory at NFL games to prevent injuries, have to meet various requirements. First of all, for reasons of sustainability, they may not be operated with gas in Germany, as is the case in the USA. So, the electrically powered heating system of the Moonich / Sit & Heat solution, which also has a minimal energy requirement, was a good fit. In addition, the benches have to be comfortable, extremely stable and tip-proof, and at the same time mobile, weatherproof and corrosion-resistant, so that they can be easily transported and stored in the stadiums.
A suitable solution for every situation "We have the right solution for every requirement," says Keussen, presenting the options for stadium operators: With the "VIP Chairs" model Moonich offers new business seats with integrated heating elements. With the "Retrofit" variant the heating system is integrated into existing business seats. This is particularly resource-saving, as existing seats are used and materials are thus saved. Seat covers with integrated heating systems for existing seats are also available. And even special designs such as those for the US NFL teams.
Sit & Heat's seat heating systems are already in use in around 20 stadiums in Europe, including Hamburger Sportverein (HSV) and Paris Saint Germain (PSG). They are mainly used in the coaches' and players' areas, in VIP lounges and business areas as well as in dugouts.
