Twickenham Stadium’s East Stand opens

After it was announced last March that the costs are rising due to higher requirements, on Saturday, Twickenham’s new East Stand officially opened.

The framework for the opening formed the first game of the Quilter Internationals against South Africa resulting in a stunning 12-11 victory for England.

KSS were lead designers and architects for the East Stand development working with Wildfire London on the interior design concept and delivery. The expansion offers six floors of stylish event space, including eight brand new facilities delivering a bespoke hospitality experience for the fans. On Levels 1 and 2, The Gate offers a contemporary and authentic chophouse style restaurant. The Level 1 Union Ale House provides the classic pub experience for Debenture holders, ideal for informal celebrations, drinks receptions and parties. On Level 3, the Lock 4 and 5 includes a large spacious bar providing the perfect environment for gala dinners and award ceremonies. Both event spaces have impeccable views of the world famous Twickenham pitch and central London skyline. On Level 4, The Clubhouse consists of a formal restaurant for Debenture holders. The East Wing is the premium space within the East Stand on Level 4a, featuring four terraces along the stadium bowl with fantastic pitch views. The British Airways Rose Garden is the new elegant roof terrace on Level 5 offering street food dining.

The East Stand development has raised the bar in terms of the offer at Twickenham Stadium delivering the finest matchday and non-match day hospitality experience for the fans, guests and visitors to enjoy. (Stadionwelt, 08.11.2018)
