The venue will host concerts, big shows, action-packed special events and sporting events, as well as trade fairs and eSports events. Oak View’s tasks as strategic partner now range from the planning, construction and operation to the financing of the project. The submitted concept foresees a start of construction of the 20,000seat arena in 2025 and has been budgeted at a total of 384 million euros. Things are only a little smaller in Valencia and in Munich. In the port city in the south-east of Spain, the country’s largest arena is being built at a cost of 280 million euros – capacity: 18,600 seats. It will be the new home of the basketball team, but will also host concerts and other cultural events. In Munich, the FC Bayern basketball players can also look forward to a new arena, but the main users of the SAP Garden, which is expected to be completed in 2024, will be the Red Bull ice hockey players. The new arena is being built directly in the Olympic Park at a cost of around 150 million euros and will expand the range of available sports facilities there. The Swiss Life Arena in Zurich was already completed at the end of 2022. After 13 years of planning and three and a half years of construction, the ZSC Lions (ice hockey) were able to move into their new home. The new temple has a capacity of 12,000 people, the stands are steeply built and give a clear view of the ice from all seats. There is also a standing-room fan section directly behind the goal.
