Both the LED cube (the largest video cube in an ice hockey arena in Europe) above the field and the dressing room for the home team could probably also be located in the USA. The arena is planned as the main venue for the 2026 Ice Hockey World Championship. The Arena Santa Giulia in Milan is also expecting a major event in 2026. Planned as a venue for the 2026 Winter Olympics, the go-ahead was given in May 2023 for the construction of what operator CTS EVENTIM describes as “Italy’s largest and most modern multifunctional hall”. Construction is about to start on the ARENA BRNO, whose funding support was confirmed by the European Commission in July. With a capacity of 12,174 seats in the ice hockey configuration, it will be the largest arena in the city. Those in charge also hope that the flexible usage options (concerts, boxing, futsal, conferences, volleyball, tennis, basketball ...) will allow the venues to be used all year round. In addition to ice hockey, however, the focus is clearly on concerts, for which the arena wants to attract international stars by offering another alternative for the area between Vienna and Prague.
