Alpine hut as an eye-catcher at FSB 2023

From October 24th to 27th, Conica participated again at the FSB, the leading international trade fair for outdoor, sports and fitness facilities. Conica’s Swiss alpine hut was a crowd puller on all days. And the panel discussion in the Cologne Sky Building above the rooftops of Cologne inspired more than 240 guests.

As FSB only takes place every two years, it was important for Conica to be present and to maintain personal contact with its international team from around 20 countries, customers and other business partners from Germany and abroad. This year, the trade fair was once again held in conjunction with aquanale. 824 exhibitors from 45 countries attracted more than 25,000 visitors from 123 countries - an increase of about 56% compared to the last exhibition in 2021.

Top-class panel discussion

Conica kept the tried and tested booth concept from previous events. The focus was on the so-called base camp in the form of a Swiss alpine hut. In 2019, the "mountain tour" started at an altitude of 1,600 meters. In 2021 and 2023, Conica took its customers to the summit. Delicious original Swiss raclette was served there as refreshment for the discussions. There was a lively exchange with decision-makers from the fields of sports and leisure facilities, sports clubs, architecture and local authorities.

The highlight of this year’s show was a panel discussion with over 240 guests in the Cologne Sky Building, which was moderated by Andy Kay, the former managing editor of BBC Radio Sport, and Alexandra Wizor, aka Ola, a well-known content creator.

Christian Milz, CEO of European Athletics, was joined on the podium by Steffen Willwacher, Professor of Biomechanics at the University of Offenburg, Tomas Stukas, Head of Development at Active Vilnius, and former Olympic champion and world record holder in the 400-meter hurdles Kevin Young (USA).
