Energy saving sound-technic in the olympic stadium

Dynacord’s fixed installation IPX amplifiers celebrated their world premiere in one of Europe’s many stadium projects - the rejuvenation of Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. The sound-technic is energy saving.

The Berlin Olympic Stadium has recently been awarded the Green Globe Sustainability Certificate and is now as famous for its environmental reputation as it is for its sound. When the stadium recently underwent a full refurbishment of its technical systems, green credentials were a key requirement alongside the need for IP, Dante and the best possible sound with headroom to spare.

These requirements are fulfilled by 64 Dynacord IPX10: 4 class D multichannel amplifiers with up to 10,000 watts per ampere, providing ample headroom for processing all DSP processes. Thanks to Dynacord's Eco Rail technology, the IPX10: 4 amplifiers offer a remarkable energy saving of more than 50%.

„The DSP amplifiers of the Dynacord IPX series were the ideal choice for the Berlin Olympic Stadium,“ said Frank Neubauer, Technical Director of the Olympic Stadium. „They pack more power with significantly less rack space and consume much less power, while full IP networking makes the stadium ready for any challenge.“ In addition, the stadium’s 171 Electro-Voice XLC speakers were upgraded to the new DVX versions.
