Evenly infilling of artificial turf systems

The absolute evenly infilling of modern artificial turf systems with sand, rubber and other infilling material is a highly demanding task which only can be achieved with an adequate solution such as the new SandMatic B2005 from SMG.

The self-driven SandMatic B2005 spreads and infills artificial turf surfaces with sand, rubber and organic infill material. A conveyor belt and its innovative brushing unit effectively support the process. The SandMatic-Series enables precise infilling from 2.5 to 40 kg/m² in both directions. With a working width of 1,500 mm and driving speeds from 1 m/min up to 25 m/min the SandMatic B2005 achieves an area performance of up to 35 m²/min.

The control panel can be moved from left to right, thereby maximizing overview and ergonomics. The machine is driven by a 16.1 kW (21.9 HP) 3-cylinder Kubota diesel engine. The weight is evenly distributed to eight large dimensioned low pressure tires. Thus, the area pressure of the gross weight of the machine is adjusted to the turfs permissible ground pressure.

Since more than 40 years SMG offers a unique and worldwide the biggest product range of machines to maintain and clean artificial turf fields – a total of 14 machines and attachments,
according to SMG. Customers are not only provided with valuable information for handling, but also with professional guidance in deciding on the right product to do the best possible job.

Since the 1980s, SMG has also been presenting innovations for the maintenance of artificial turf or carpets with granule infilling. Also in 2018, a groundbreaking development will be presented in this sector again.
