Solutions for athletics tracks at Trade Fair in Cologne

CONICA has decided to participate in this year’s FSB from 26 to 29 October in Cologne with its own stand. In doing so, the company wants to “send a clear signal despite all the adverse circumstances caused by Corona”. CONICA is convinced that the market and the customers want direct personal exchange again.

An analysis of the company has shown that participation in the trade fair makes sense. Thanks to the hygiene concept of the fair organizers, which was developed according to the specifications of the Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and in close coordination with the authorities in Cologne, the interaction at the fair is clearly regulated and the conditions are created to enable personal encounters.

Direct contact is sought

Since FSB only takes place every two years, it is all the more important to maintain personal contact, is the conviction of the career specialists from Switzerland. At FSB, municipal decision-makers, operators of sports and leisure facilities, architects and sports clubs come into conversation with top companies, the organizers emphasize. And it is precisely these target groups that CONICA wants to reach through direct face-to-face discussions.

To ensure these contacts in a pleasant atmosphere, CONICA has reactivated the trade fair stand concept from FSB 2019. There, CONICA appeared with a base camp in the form of an alpine hut, as normally found at around 1600 m altitude. This approach was a great success with the public. However, the company not only alludes to its Swiss origins, but also sees this as an expression of its corporate philosophy.

Julio F. Fadel, Head of Marketing & Communication at CONICA on the concept: “We want to accompany our clients safely and successfully in every project - from a small playground to an international competition stadium - from an easy hike to the summit, so to speak. The concept was so well received by customers and our own employees alike that we decided to continue telling the “story”.

In focus: solutions for athletics tracks

A special focus for CONICA this year is on athletics. As a global innovation driver of athletics running tracks, the company has been a cooperation partner of the German Athletics Association (DLV) since April 2021.

Both parties want to set new standards in the field of running track research and development. CONICA has set itself the goal of bringing Germany’s running tracks up to the latest technological standards in order to support athletes in their performance in competition and to relieve their musculoskeletal system during training. To this end, CONICA seeks close cooperation with athletes, coaches and sports scientists as well as stadium operators.
The trade fair offers the ideal platform for this.

Julio F. Fadel: “We have a lot planned for FSB and are very keen to enter into discussions. We are convinced of our products and have noticed, not least in the exchange with DLV and athletes, that there is great interest in our solutions. We want to talk about this with as many market participants as possible at FSB. In addition, we are looking forward to finally meeting guests from abroad again after several months.”
