Along summer 2018, Daplast installed 28.995 seats of the model Avatar at the Anoeta Stadium, home of Real Sociedad C.F. Avatar seats are being used in international sports venues all over the world.
Avatar seats haven been the chosen stadium seat for the renovation of Anoeta Stadium. The seat which has been designed, manufactured and installed by the Spanish seating specialists from Daplast is a tip-up seat designed to optimize spectator’s comfort and security. RedDot has awarded Avatar seats for the best design in stadium seating, considering its internal structure and external aesthetic.
The seats are set up to the grandstand by a metallic rail which offers flexibility to change the audience capacity easily. The metallic brackets are also flexible, saving time during installation.
Along summer 2018, Daplast installed 28.995 Avatar seats in different versions (Basic, Premium and Suite) for different areas of the stadium (general grandstands, preference areas and VIP boxes).
The first football match played at the new Anoeta Stadium was Real Sociedad C.F. versus FC Barcelona on September 15th. The game marked the beginning of the 2018/19 Spanish Premier League season. One of the most appreciated updates by spectators is the elimination of the athletics track which allows fans to be closer to the field.
The new Avatar seats are also highly appreciated, according to Daplast. Once closed, the seat dimensions allow a comfortable and safe free space to walk between rows. The folded Avatar seat only occupies 200 mm in depth. Avatar seating range is completed with the Premium version which contains upholstery and optional armrests, which are installed at preference areas. The Suite version installed at VIP boxes is completely upholstered and comes with a higher backrest, double armrests and optional cup holders.
There are many international sports venues that count on Avatar seats, such as Parc des Prince Stadium with more than 46.000 Avatar seats, the Gran Canaria Arena in Las Palmas, home of the Herbalife G.C. basketball club or the Qatar Handball Association Arena in Lekhwiya which hosted the 2015 World Men’s Handball Championship.
In addition, Avatar seats are installed in other Spanish Football Stadium such as Balaidos Stadium in Vigo, La Rosaleda Stadium in Malaga, Mestalla Stadium in Valencia and Benito Vallamarin Stadium, home of Real Betis.
