Daktronics has strengthened its European presence in the live events and large sports sector by adding Christoph Odenthal to the team. Odenthal brings more than 15 years of experience in the global sports industry.
Odenthal officially joined the Daktronics team this summer. “From my venue development experience, I know that LED solutions' quality and service pay off in the long term,” said Odenthal. “I am looking forward to supporting Daktronics’ efforts in the live events and large sports venue marketplace.”

Odenthal is a native of Düsseldorf, based in Hamburg, and holds master’s degrees from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel and the German Sport University in Cologne. His experience began with strategic consulting for global sports venue development, expanded with the International Management Group and various Lagardère Sports & Entertainment companies and, most recently, includes serving as Vice President of Lagardère Unlimited Stadium solutions/SPORTFIVE, before joining UEFA in 2022. “Christoph will be dedicated to expanding Daktronics' presence in prominent sport facilities in Germany, Switzerland and Austria,” commented Daktronics International Market Manager Ben Aesoph. “We will be proactively engaging with stadium owners, operators, architects, engineers, consultants and integrators to help build their understanding of the latest LED display technology and control systems. Christoph will also be learning what our customers desire from the technology itself to aid in our product development process as we continually strive to enhance the wide range of sports products our company already offers.”
In this role, Odenthal looks to expand upon many notable Daktronics installations in the region, including Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspur and Wembley Stadium. (stadiaworld, 27.06.2025)
