FIFA Appoints Provider for Stadium Floodlighting

Signify (Euronext: LIGHT) has been named a preferred provider for floodlighting systems by the world football governing body, FIFA. This means that Signify’s floodlight solutions meet FIFA’s highest quality standards.

As a FIFA Preferred Provider for Floodlights (FPP), Signify meets strict quality requirements concerning products, manufacturing, and system infrastructure. Signify’s stadium lighting also includes features for added entertainment during major events – for instance, through customizable light shows before, during, and after matches. Stadiums working with Signify under the FIFA Preferred Provider Programme benefit from a wide range of technologies and features, including:

  • ArenaVision LED Gen 3.5 – an innovative LED floodlight system offering exceptional light quality, effective thermal management, long service life, and compatibility with control solutions such as Signify’s Interact lighting management system, which allows for remote control and scheduling. The system complies with international broadcasting standards for all sports.
  • OptiVision LED Gen 3.5 Floodlighting System – a comprehensive solution suitable for everything from simple to highly complex recreational sports. It meets the highest performance standards, provides excellent light quality, and ensures both safety and visual comfort.

A wide range of floodlights ensures precise light distribution with minimal spill light and, in combination with intelligent controls, enables additional energy savings of up to 65 percent.

Stadium Energy Consumption Already Significantly Reduced

Every lighting system can be remotely managed across the entire venue – including the pitch, stadium façade, and hospitality areas – which helps improve operational efficiency. Signify floodlighting is already in use at several stadiums worldwide, such as Feyenoord Stadium in Rotterdam. Signify’s new ArenaVision system enhances the playing experience for everyone while enabling energy savings of up to 63 percent compared to the previous setup.
