New General Manager at U.S. Bank Stadium

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA) and Legends/ASM Global have announced two key leadership promotions at U.S. Bank Stadium: Shannon Kelly has been appointed as the new General Manager, and John Drum has been elevated to Regional Vice President for Legends/ASM Global.

Kelly joined the U.S. Bank Stadium team in 2018 and most recently served as Director of Events, overseeing logistical planning and execution across all stadium events. Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, she brings more than 20 years of industry experience, including over a decade with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment in Denver, where she worked with multiple professional sports teams and venues.

“Thank you to the MSFA and Legends/ASM Global for this incredible opportunity,” said Kelly. “As a proud Minnesota native, I’m excited to lead U.S. Bank Stadium into the future alongside an exceptional team and our valued partners.” In her new role, Kelly will oversee the stadium’s daily operations and lead the local Legends/ASM Global management team at the 66,000+ seat venue.

John Drum, who served as General Manager since 2020, will now oversee operations across eight venues in his new role as Regional Vice President, including six NFL stadiums. “It’s an exciting time at Legends/ASM Global,” Drum said. “I look forward to working with the leadership teams across our venues in this new capacity. Shannon is more than ready to lead U.S. Bank Stadium into its next chapter.”

Drum joined the stadium’s executive team in 2017 and played a pivotal role in its recent successes, including U.S. Bank Stadium being ranked #1 in the NFL’s 2024 Voice of the Fan Survey.

MSFA Chair Michael Vekich praised the leadership transition: “These appointments reflect the strength and growth of our team. We thank John for his years of service and look forward to Shannon’s continued leadership.”

Minnesota Vikings COO Andrew Miller added: “John and Shannon have both been key partners in delivering a first-class fan experience. Shannon’s leadership and operational expertise make her the ideal choice for this role.”
