Roig Arena Valencia Officially Opens
After five years of construction, the Roig Arena has opened in Valencia as Spain’s largest indoor arena. As a multifunctional events venue, it is the new home for basketball, major concerts and the city’s cultural calendar.
Construction began in June 2020 and reached structural completion in September 2024. The project represents a total investment of 400 million euro (approx. 467m USD / 347m GBP), financed entirely by Valencian businessman Juan Roig. Commissioned by Licampa 1617, a company founded by Roig, the design was led by HOK together with Valencia-based practice ERRE, supported by an international team of engineers and consultants.
