FIFA and Estadio Banorte Agree on Suite Rights for 2026
For the 2026 World Cup at Estadio Banorte, an agreement has been reached between stadium representatives and FIFA. It covers the use of suites and hospitality seats, which have been allocated to their owners since the 1960s.
After more than a year of negotiations, representatives of Estadio Banorte in Mexico City and FIFA agreed on the use of suites and hospitality seats during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The dispute arose when FIFA, as is customary for the tournament, demanded full control of the stadium.
