Resource-saving Accreditation at the Cup Final

At the Zoi DVV Cup Final in Mannheim's SAP Arena, the focus was not only on sporting achievements. Thanks to a sustainable idea from Pe2M GmbH, the event organizers were able to contribute to a resource-saving event.

Sustainable accreditation cards were available for this year's final. While the women's and men's finals of the Zoi DVV Cup Final offered high-class volleyball in the sold-out SAP Arena in Mannheim last weekend, the resource-saving campaign also caused a stir off the court.

Compostable accreditation cards in XXL format were used at the Zoi DVV Cup final. The cards are made of biodegradable materials and can be disposed of in household waste after use. This reduces plastic waste and supports a more resource-efficient approach to sporting events.

The use of compostable accreditation cards is an example of sustainable approaches to event management and shows how organizational details can contribute to the further development of event standards. (stadiaworld, 05.03.2026)
