Kristen Fulmer is GOAL’s Executive Director. In the second part of her interview with stadiaworld, she talks about the organisation, its membership approach, and how GOAL aids venues in their sustainability efforts.

Fulmer: When a venue joins GOAL, our team works with them to understand where they are in their sustainability journey, gauge what’s important to their staff, community, and local environment, and chart an action plan based on the GOAL Medals criteria to incrementally move from bronze to silver and silver to gold. Sometimes members are more focused on programs and communications and sometimes they’re more focused on operations – our team flexes to respond to the needs of the member. We rarely function as a consultant, but more of a partner or internal team member to their organisation.
