NFL Increases Number of International Games

The National Football League (NFL) will host more International Games in the future. Team owners have given the green light to increase the number of games beyond 2026. In addition, the location of Super Bowl LXIV has been announced.

In recent years, the NFL has steadily increased the number of games played outside the USA. In 2023, it was decided to increase the number of regular season games played abroad to eight. Also, the league announced in 2025 a multiyear commitment to play a minimum of three regular season games over five years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2026, a total of nine International Games will be held across four continents for the first time.
