Event Audio Expands With Battery Systems
By adding 48 EVERSE loudspeaker systems from Electro-Voice, elakustik enhances its event technology setup. The battery-powered, weatherproof speakers enable flexible deployment with Bluetooth and app-based control.
Full-service rental house, elakustik, has invested in 48 Electro-Voice EVERSE loudspeaker systems as part of a plan to expand its audio inventory. The company, with locations in Waiblingen near Stuttgart and in Berlin, specializes in conference and interpretation technology as well as the planning and realization of AV events for congresses and a wide range of other events, making EVERSE the perfect fit for its business.
A long-time partner of Bosch conference systems and a member of the Congress Rental Network (CRN), elakustik also offers dry hire within the network, where the EVERSE systems can be deployed. This has seen the 32 EVERSE 8 and 16 EVERSE 12 models already called into action for various events.
For elakustik, the decision came down to a combination of reliability, ease of use, and flexibility. "Electro-Voice is a brand we trust, and reliability is what matters most in day-to-day rental use, where the gear simply has to perform every time," explains Mike Oskamp, Site Manager of the Waiblingen branch near Stuttgart. "The EVERSE models are very user-friendly and offer exactly the feature set we need. The two variants complement each other perfectly: while the 8" models are extremely lightweight and compact, the 12" models, with their longer throw and higher SPL, are ideal for larger sound reinforcement jobs."
With up to 12 hours of battery life and Bluetooth audio and control, an EVERSE loudspeaker can be used without a mains connection, anywhere that no power supply is available. In addition, all EVERSE models are weatherized and can, for example, power a wireless microphone system directly from the box.
Wireless control is just as straightforward via the QuickSmart Mobile App. This offers comprehensive mixing functions along with user-friendly tools such as a ducker and loudspeaker presets for different music genres and applications.
