RCD Mallorca: The future has begun

Real Mallorca has taken long-term ownership of its stadium and carried out an extensive renovation. This effort also allowed the implementation of a new hospitality concept. Stadionwelt takes a comprehensive look at this new approach.

The biggest success in the club's recent history was within reach: the fans at home followed the action intensely, while more than 20,000 traveling supporters filled the stadium in Seville. After 90 minutes, the score was 1-1, and even after extra time — during which the team held off relentless attacks from the opponent with fighting spirit — the match remained tied. Ultimately, Real Club Deportivo Mallorca (RCD Mallorca) lost 4-2 in a penalty shootout to Athletic Bilbao. Although the Mallorcans had once won the Spanish Copa del Rey in 2003, this time they came up short.
