Reduced CO2 footprint

Daplast could announce another year of reducing their Carbon Footprint (CF). This effort reflects the company’s ongoing dedication to minimizing the environmental impact of the operations and contributing positively to climate change.

Results on the 2023 carbon footprint

By 2023, Daplast has made significant progress in reducing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Some of the most notable achievements are presented below:

Relative emissions reduction: although absolute GHG emissions remained similar to those of 2022, emissions relative to activity were further reduced. Thanks to the significant increase in production, a relative reduction of 7.27% was achieved over the three-year period, thereby consolidating the positive trend towards sustainability.

Renewable energy generation: The installation of photovoltaic modules in 2022 led to significant results in 2023. The energy generated by these modules increased in 2023. This increase enabled renewable energy to account for 11.5% of total energy consumption in 2023, compared to 3.5% in 2022.
Equipment improvements: Daplast replaced an old injection moulding machine with high power consumption with a new machine with more efficient technology. This measure not only reduced energy consumption, but also improved production capacity.

Continuous commitment to sustainability

Daplast's commitment to sustainability is reflected in the various measures the company has implemented and the goals it has set itself for the future. The company will continue to work to reduce its own impact on the environment and promote sustainable practices throughout its operations. (stadiaworld, 17.07.2024)
