Legends announces acquisition of ASM Global

The takeover of venue management expert ASM Global by the U.S. industry giant Legends had been anticipated for some time. The merger aims to create a global live-event company.

“The next era of Legends begins now,” said Dan Levy, CEO of Legends, during the acquisition of ASM Global. Founded in 2008, Legends has developed over the past 15 years into a leading service provider in planning, sales, partnerships, hospitality, merchandise, and technology. Some of its largest partners include FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, the LA Chargers, and the Dallas Cowboys.

In November 2023, Legends announced its intention to acquire venue management company ASM Global. The goal is to evolve Legends’ service offerings into a 360-degree solution, forming a live-event company specialized in serving the most iconic and innovative brands in sports and entertainment.

With combined expertise, the companies now offer a data-driven, customizable solution for all aspects of venue operations and revenue generation, aimed at providing exceptional fan experiences in sports, entertainment, and conventions.

The Legends solution now covers the planning, development, and operation of world-class venues, event bookings, partner support, premium ticketing, merchandise, and hospitality services.

The combined capabilities of both companies will not only enhance the success of their partners, clients, and projects worldwide but also benefit the entire industry, says Ron Bension, President and CEO of ASM Global. Dan Levy adds that the merger with ASM Global will offer customers an improved experience, setting new benchmarks in the sports and entertainment sectors.

As an independent company, ASM Global had previously focused on venue management, operating numerous large arenas and stadiums worldwide, including seven NFL stadiums such as Allegiant Stadium, Caesars Superdome, and US Bank Stadium. In Germany, the company was responsible for operating the Rudolf Weber ARENA in Oberhausen. ASM Global will continue to operate under its name for the time being. (STADIAWORLD, 28.08.2024)
