Arlington: Stadium and ball park as part of the racetrack
The US racing series IndyCTar will stop off in Arlington, Texas, in 2026. The NFL stadium of the Dallas Cowboys and the MLB ballpark of the Texas Rangers will serve as the venue for the race track.
The “INDYCAR Grand Prix of Arlington” is scheduled for March 2026, with the cars set to race on an approximately 4.4-kilometer road course through the city's entertainment district, including in the immediate vicinity of Globe Life Field (MLB ballpark of the Texas Rangers) and the AT&T Stadium (NFL stadium of the Dallas Cowboys).
Jerry Jones, owner of the Cowboys franchise, said, “We are very excited to partner with the Texas Rangers, Penske Entertainment and the City of Arlington to bring the Grand Prix to the streets of the Arlington Entertainment District. [...] An event of this magnitude is another great reflection of what we envisioned over 15 years ago that AT&T Stadium could be a part of.”

Neil Leibman, Chief Operating Officer of the Rangers, added: “Today is a historic day for the Texas Rangers and REV Entertainment. We are proud to stand alongside such prestigious organizations as Penske Entertainment and the Dallas Cowboys at the helm of the IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington. This event will set a new standard for the Arlington Entertainment District, and we look forward to welcoming fans from around the world to experience what Arlington has to offer.”
In 2020, the IndyCar Series had already used the infrastructure of an NFL stadium, when the race track ran past the Tennessee Titan's Nissan Stadium. (stadiaworld, 25.10.2024)
