Six venues announced for Handball World Championship 2027
Choosing the venues for the 2027 Handball World Championship, the DHB settled on handball strongholds, tried-and-tested arenas and a newcomer. stadiaworld takes a look at the arenas of the upcoming tournament and the venues of past tournaments.
After hosting the EHF EURO 2024 in Germany in January 2024, the German Handball Federation (DHB) has several top events on its agenda in the coming years. With the organization of three World Championships in 2025, 2027 and 2029, Germany will be the number one handball location in the next five years. The DHB was awarded the contract to host the IHF Women's Handball World Championship 2025 and the Men's World Championship 2027 back in 2020. A total of eleven host cities subsequently applied to host the final round of the 2027 Handball World Championship, including the newly opened SAP Garden in Munich. The DHB has now announced which arenas have been awarded the contract to host the major handball event.
