The NBA and its plans for Europe
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is harbouring plans to expand into Europe. The first locations are already being discussed. stadiaworld takes a look at the league's plans and what they would mean for European basketball.
At the end of January 2025, the NBA travelled to the French capital Paris for the fourth time for a regular season game. After 2020, 2023 and 2024, the Accor Arena was once again the venue for two games this year. The two matches between the San Antonio Spurs and the Indiana Pacers were attended by over 30,000 spectators in total. Reason enough for the North American league to think bigger in the future.
