DFB publishes logo and slogan for WEURO 2029 application
The German Football Association (DFB) has unveiled the logo and slogan for its bid to host the UEFA Women’s EURO 2029. The European Championship is set to take place at the end of the decade under the motto “Together WE Rise.”
If everything goes according to the DFB’s plans, Germany will host the UEFA Women’s EURO 2029 in the summer of that year. The DFB submitted its official bid in September 2024. In March 2025, coinciding with International Women's Day, the federation presented the logo and slogan, “Together WE Rise.”
The bid logo, “WE‘29,” not only represents the Women’s EURO 2029 but also symbolizes the intention to celebrate "a grand festival of women’s football together." According to the DFB, the vibrant colors highlight "the diversity of the continent and the optimism regarding the further development of women’s football."
DFB President Bernd Neuendorf commented on the presentation: “The logo and the slogan are crucial elements in making our campaign more visible and tangible. The focus is on the WE. By hosting the tournament, we aim to give women’s football across Europe another significant boost. A Women’s EURO in Germany would undoubtedly enhance the enthusiasm, passion, and joy for women’s football.”
With its bid to host the Women’s European Championship in 2029, the DFB aims to make an impact not only in sporting terms. Similar to UEFA EURO 2024, the tournament is expected to be an economic success and generate “record revenues” to further strengthen women’s football across Europe.
DFB General Secretary Heike Ullrich added: “The logo, the design, and the vision align perfectly with the DFB’s DNA. With our experience in organizing major tournaments and our passion for women’s football in Germany, we want to provide an outstanding stage for this competition. The slogan ‘Together WE Rise’ should come to life during the tournament in Germany and have a lasting impact on women’s football across Europe.”
Applicants must submit their preliminary documents in the form of a pre-bid book to UEFA by 12th March 2025. The deadline for submitting the final bid documents is set for the end of August 2025. The UEFA Executive Committee will announce the host in December 2025. Before that, the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 will take place. (stadiaworld, 10.03.2025)
