Rhine-Ruhr 2025: new seats for the Lorheidestadion

Daplast is one of the leading seats manufacturers in Europe. As part of the renovation of Lorheidestadion in Bochum the company provides CR4, CR2 seats, Avatar seats and press tables for the FISU World University Games 2025.

Lorheidestadion, in Bochum-Wattenscheid, Germany, is being renovated to host the 32nd FISU Summer World University Games 2025, also known as Rhine-Ruhr 2025, which will take place from 16th to 27th July 2025. The FISU Summer World University Games are one of the largest and most prestigious multi-sport events in the world, bringing together thousands of student-athletes to compete in various disciplines.

Lohrheidestadion is undergoing a complete modernization with an investment of 55 million Euros (62.5m USD / 47.1m GBP). From 2025 onwards, it will be the only facility in North Rhine-Westphalia capable of hosting the German Outdoor Athletics Championships, establishing Bochum as an athletics hub. Nowadays it is mainly used for football matches and is the home stadium of SG Wattenscheid 09. The stadium seats 16,233 people and was opened in 1954.

Daplast team is completing the installation of CR4, CR2 seats, Avatar seats and press tables that will offer comfort and durability, enhancing the spectator experience.
