Allstate Arena Lights Up for Audiences
As audiences head to Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, this year, they will be greeted by 30 new LED displays, designed, manufactured and installed in partnership with the Village of Rosemont and Daktronics. The installation includes a new centerhung display system with multiple auxiliary displays and marquee displays, all of which will be installed this spring to bring new life to hockey and other events held at the venue.
“We explored several options while seeking the best in outdoor LED signage, as well as interior centerhung and ribbon display systems,” said Allstate Arena Executive Director Pat Nagle. “After careful consideration, we chose Daktronics for their exceptional quality, innovation and service. We’re confident this partnership will elevate the fan experience and uphold the excellence our guests expect.”
Centerhung Details
A four-sided centerhung display system will serve as the main focal point above the action inside the arena. Each of the four displays will measure 16.5 feet high by 21.5 feet wide. Two underbelly displays helping those sitting closer to the action stay informed will each measure nearly 6 feet high by 16.5 feet wide. All six displays will feature 5.9-millimeter pixel spacing to deliver crisp, clear imagery to audiences in the main seating bowl.
Each of the centerhung displays are capable of variable content zoning which allows each to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones of content. This includes live video, instant replays, statistics and game information, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.
“The upgrade of technology in and around Allstate Arena is going to bring the atmosphere and entertainment to a whole new level,” said Ryan Kuzman, Daktronics sales representative. “We’re honored to be working with Village of Rosemont and Allstate Arena to deliver this massive LED display upgrade. The project will be welcoming audiences, entertaining fans and keeping people informed for years to come.”
Supplemental In-Bowl Display Information
Circling fans in the arena, a full 360-degree ribbon display will be mounted to the seating fascia. It will measure 2.5 feet high by 899 feet around. Two additional auxiliary video displays will be installed at the ends of the arena, each measuring roughly 10 feet high by 20.5 feet wide.
These displays will also feature 5.9-millimeter pixel spacing as they provide the opportunity to highlight sponsors through events as well as deliver supplemental content to the main displays during any event.
Additional Display Information
Around the Village of Rosemont, multiple displays will help connect audiences and keep them informed of upcoming events. Displays will be installed at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Allstate Arena box office and wall signs, Parkway Bank Sports Complex ballpark scoreboard, Parkway Bank Park parking garage, two Williams Street garage ribbon displays and two River Road walkway ribbon displays. Seven marquee displays and two billboard displays outside Allstate Arena along roadways will also be installed to further communicate with arena audiences as they come and go.
