Barcelona Gets License to Expand Camp Nou Capacity

FC Barcelona has received a new occupancy license from the City Council for Spotify Camp Nou. This includes the opening of VIP spaces and the North Goal, meaning that significantly more spectators will be allowed in future.

FC Barcelona has been modernising Spotify Camp Nou since June 2023. In November 2025, the club returned to the stadium, which is still undergoing renovation, with limited capacity. Since then, around 45,000 spectators have been allowed to attend the Catalans' home games. This was made possible by the occupancy licenses for Phases 1A and 1B of the construction. In March 2023, Barcelona City Council granted the first occupancy license for Phase 1C.
