Europe’s Top-Flight Clubs Celebrate Record Gate Revenue

UEFA’s “European Club Finance and Investment Landscape” report provides an annual overview of economic and infrastructure indicators in professional football. stadiaworld examines the record figures for gate revenue.

European top-flight clubs continue to set annual revenue records – as was the case in the past financial year. While commercial activities are particularly driving this growth (see part 1 here), gate revenues continued to grow strongly in 2024, reaching a record 4.4 billion euro (approx. 3.83bn GBP), 33% above pre-pandemic levels. For the ten-year period from 2014 to 2024, this equates to an overall increase in ticketing revenue of 1.9 billion euro, a 75% rise.
