UEFA-Report in the Spotlight
UEFA’s “European Club Finance and Investment Landscape” report examines football’s financial health and key trends. stadiaworld analysed four core areas: revenues, gate income, stadium investments and staff and non-operating costs.
The report presents the financial figures for the 54 top European leagues for the 2024 fiscal year. The clubs' latest revenue record is largely attributable to a sharp rise in commercial revenue, particularly in the top five leagues, as shown in the first part of stadiaworld's analysis. Gate revenue also rose to a new record level in 2024, as part two shows.

stadiaworld analysed four core areas of the UEFA report:
Part 1: Record commercial revenues
Part 2: Gate income
Part 3: Investments in stadiums and infrastructure
Part 4: Staff and non-wage operating costs
In addition, the clubs used their enormous revenues to invest in their infrastructure, particularly their stadiums, as well as in fixed assets. Numerous stadium projects by the major clubs underscore this trend. The fourth part of stadiaworld’s analysis focuses on staff and non-operating costs: costs for players and staff continue to rise, and the clubs are employing more and more personnel.
UEFA already has some key figures available for 2025, which are included in the report and show that the association expects new record figures. (stadiaworld, 13.04.2026)
